When one of our members, Anne Siegrist, passed away in May, her husband Don asked if the church could create some kind of memorial garden or place where Anne and others could be remembered. CCF had erected this timber frame structure a while back, with the idea that eventually we would know what to do with it. ;-) Well, during the discussion of creating the memorial place, we were talking about having a bench, when someone suggested the idea of a swing instead. With further discussion, it was decided to get two swings and install them in the little pavilion, which could then have hanging baskets and flower pots around it. The order for the swings was immediately placed and they were installed in time for Anne's memorial service on August 21 of this year. We are so thankful to God for the provision of the timber frame structure and for the wonderful use we have found for it. Several people were able to try out the swings at the memorial service, and found them very comfortable. They provide a sheltered place to sit and talk and enjoy the beauty of God's creation around us.
